London’s O2 Arena will play host next month to the worlds first Prince exhibition, showcasing the Singer’s archives from his Paisley Park private estate. My Name is Prince will open on the 27th October and run for twenty-one days, the dates mirroring those of his 2007 Earth tour, and marking ten years since the record-breaking run of 21 straight sold-out shows, also at the O2.
The items on show have never before been taken out of Paisley Park, and include costumes, customised guitars, jewellery and memorabilia from Prince’s legendary tours. Stage outfits from Purple Rain in 1984 and LoveSexy in 1988 will all be on display, alongside memorable objects like his famous “third eye” sunglasses, and the Gibson L65 he played during his first television appearance on 1980’s American Bandstand.
Tickets are on sale now, you can find them along with more information about the exhibition at mynameisprince.co.uk
