Where? Upper Street in Islington and Monmouth Street in Covent Garden.
What? With its apothecary feel, the stores of Malin + Goetz – an American beauty brand established in 2004 – were designed to bridge the modern and the retro. The interiors are work of Jonathan Tuckey, who used plywood for box shelving and subtle brass elements to keep the space sleek. In the Islington location, the store facade features carved glass windows, in contrast with the Covent Garden spot, where visitors enter throug a dark tunnel to immerse into an illuminated room with a reflective ceiling.
