Exploring the spirit of youth and restlessness, Indigo Lewin: 2010-2013 is an exhibition of photographic portraits exposing the intimacy between people and places.
“I like photographing our generation,” Lewin says and turns her portfolio into a zine of images that reflect on people stepping into their adulthood, when things get complicated and utopian dreams of youth disperse. The new exhibition is a finest selection of photographs documenting the people of London, Los Angeles and New York. As cities become distinct isles of youth, we observe a visual definition of the generation being formulated.
“When the messages and emotions I am trying to express are understood and related to –this is my ultimate affirmation.”
Indigo Lewin: 2010-2013 opens for public viewing this Friday from 6-10pm at Crate Gallery in Notting Hill.
