Fashion can be about matching, but also about clashing and sometimes it’s the clash between influences and inspirations that makes it so dynamic. What’s interesting about these endless contrappositions that create diversity is that under the hat of fashion they come together, becoming parts of the same ensemble, shades of the same colour and faces of the same coin.

Last week end – from June 11th to the 14th – designers from different cultures and specialising in different disciplines gathered in Maastricht, for FASHIONCLASH 2015.

This event – which has brought together over 800 creatives from 40 different countries since its first edition in 2009 – is a multidisciplinary platform focusing on the youngest generations in fashion and giving them the chance to showcase their work.

The FASHIONCLASH Festival is only a small part of a much bigger picture, which includes a growing network of inspiring cooperation and a foundation based in Maastricht.
The foundation itself is the result of the entrepreneurial talent of three ABK Maastricht graduates: Branko Popovic, Nawie Kuiper and Els Petit, who since the beginning have been leading and managing the artistic team behind FASHIONCLASH.

This year the calendar of fashion shows, exhibitions, awards and workshops was packed with talent from all over the world, but it was designer Lautauro Amadeo Tambutto who shone above them, bringing back home the FASHIONCLASH Talent Award 2015.
