Alessandro Michele loves to collaborate with unexpected artists, first surprising us at his AW16 show that featured the graffiti work of  NYC artist ‘Gucci Ghost’, otherwise known as Trevor Andrew. Andrew had been adorning the New York streets with stylised Gucci symbols, and whilst such a case could be the basis of a hefty law suit for trademark infringement, instead Michele became an unlikely fan, inviting Andrew to move his work onto the catwalk alongside the real deal. More recently meanwhile, you may have seen Michele tapping artist John Yuyi for his latest watch campaign, embracing today’s ever popular meme culture to the joy of many young fashion fans.

Michele has clearly been back on the gram, as the brand’s newest collaboration is with illustrator Angelica Hicks, a popular Instagram artist. Michele and Hicks have created an 11-piece capsule of t-shirts, named The #GucciGeeks Collection, and adoring cartoon creations of Gucci’s catwalk’s looks. The collection has been teased with the artist also producing two giant murals – one in New York, one in Milan – celebrating the upcoming release on May 25th. You can see more of Hick’s work on Instagram here, and the two murals below.
