J.W Anderson is the latest designer announced to join forces with Japanese chain Uniqlo, after a series of successful collaborations with the likes of Opening Ceremony, Pharrell Williams and Jil Sander. Featuring both men’s and women’s wear, the collection will be dropping this Autumn, though no confirmed date has been released as of yet.
Though sure to be infused Uniqlo’s Japanese minimalism, you can still expect to see the elegant, forward thinking style typical of Anderson’s catwalks, the collection being inspired by a modern ‘British heritage concept’. An ambiguous description perhaps, but certainly promising.
“When I think of Uniqlo, I think of things that are perfectly made, that people have spent a lot of time considering”, says Anderson of the collab, “it’s a difficult job, and I think Uniqlo does it very well”. We can’t wait to get a preview.
