Everything is cool about Clio Peppiatt. The designer herself irradiates such joy and passion toward her work that drives an inspirational force gravitating around her. Her design couldn’t be any more creative, innovative and feminine in a way that doesn’t exclude playfulness and fun.
Fun is what her AW16 presentation was permeated with, as she brought one of the simplest venues of LFW to life, transforming it into a motel suite curated by Amy Exton and featuring custom mirrors by Alex May Highes.
Comprising modernist womenswear in the form of cashmere jumpers, silk pyjama suits, bomber jackets and heavily sequinned party dresses. Each piece within Clio Peppiatt’s AW16 collection ‘Do Not Disturb’ is the result of a happy marriage between various fabrics including buttery leather and faux fur, and powerful creativity.
This season Clio has realised her full vision, and part of the reason for that is the successful collaborations she took on while creating this collection. Milliner Francesco Ballestrazzi created a selection of Motel Clio berets and eye-masks, and jewellery designer Tatty Devine designed the custom lobby boy badges and mini suitcases.
Motel Clio got the thumbs up from us!
