New York based label MadeMe is well-known for its contrasting feminine and tomboyish styles, consistently paying tribute to America’s culture in the early 90’s. After former collaborations with Stüssy, Schott and Vans, founder Erin Magee has now teamed up with urban streetwear brand X-Girl on a 10 piece AW16 capsule collection. Cult label X-Girl was found in 1993 by Daisy Von Furth and Kim Gordon and reveals tomboyish aesthetics and Riot Grrrl ideals.
The lookbook was shot by photographer Ricky Saiz and features model, artist and Kim Gordon’s daughter Coco Gordon Moore. Staying true to the motto of creating fashion “for girls, by girls” the collection consists of colourful sweaters, huge down jackets, combined with rainbow prints and girly, pastel elements. Putting together two brand’s souls has never looked this authentic!
