Though Game of Thrones fans are pining over the season finale which aired this week, one of the show’s stars isn’t done with the limelight just yet. As part of TOPMAN Open Shoot – a series which brings together creatives across a range of disciplines such as fashion design, film making, music production, and set building – has chosen to feature Raleigh Ritchie to direct the interactive project, and is arguably its most star-studded and ambitious instalment to date.
Ritchie, better known to fans of the TV show as Greyworm and is also a singer and songwriter, has based his short film off his song Cowards from his album You’re a man now boy. Over the course the past week, the entire creative process has been filmed and recorded, and this behind-the-scenes access footage will be released as six ‘making of’ videos alongside the film itself at the premiere on 6th July 2016. Alongside the film, content inspired by the clothes and costume of the film will also be on show.
The film has been a collaboration with cinematographer Ryan Eddleston, but has, in signature Open Shoot tradition, also been a crowd-funded culmination of talent. An open call to the public invited fans to contribute their unique and original input in order to create the film, taken on board to help shape the creative vision of the film. This Open Shoot project is the third instalment in the series, and in the past has featured Ghostpoet and Spector, heading projects to create music videos with collective input from fans of the musicians and of TOPMAN.
