Vetements is the latest high fashion brand to collaborate on the forever fashionable Dr. Martens ten eye boot, and given the brand’s past punk inspired collections, it seems like the perfect match. You’d be forgiven for thinking ‘what’s even different?’ on first glance, as we’ll admit, the remodel is certainly subtle. This one is for the detail orientated individual, who will appreciate the deconstructed look.

The shoe is produced in a worn-in leather, without laces or even holes to add your own, instead with a sleek new front and zip fastening. Added decoration takes the form of the words ‘BORDER LINE’ stamped on the back of each boot, referencing how Vetements bridges the gap between high and street fashion. And of course, they’re equipped with the standard Dr. Marten details, such as the AirWair technology, and the fact that they’ll probably last you about 10+ years, if not forever (I’ve personally had a pair for longer than I care to remember and they’re still going).

The boots are available now at Boon the shop, Colette, Dover Street Market, Isetan, Opening Ceremony, SSense and other select retailers worldwide.
