If Bonobo’s mesmerising music doesn’t move you enough as it is, then the new video for ‘Break Apart’ will no doubt transport you to another land.

The visuals – courtesy of art director Neil Krug – are composed of footage shot with drones, and sit on the same spectrum as an Attenborough documentary as they pan the desert: the perfect accompaniment for the track’s awesome, low-key sound. Once again, Bonobo has seamlessly fused a folk-tinged sound with electronic elements to create an incredible effect, topped off with ethereal vocals from Rhye.

“Part of the writing process was to drive up to these places and live with the tracks as I was making them. This was a new part of the world to me, where the landscape is quite alien and Martian.” – Bonobo

The song is the latest to come from the British producer and musician’s forthcoming album, Migration, which is set to be another breathtaking LP judging by his releases so far, including the upbeat, fluttering beauty, ‘Kerala’. Bonobo has always broken away from the crowd, and ‘Break Apart’ serves as a stunning testament to just that.
