Spring is well and truly in the air, and soon it’ll be time to find some new music to reflect that. Thankfully, we’ve got just the ticket to get you started. ‘Silent Fever’ – the latest track by Nottingham duo April Towers, comprised of Alex and Charlie – is a blissful addition to our playlist, and yours too if you’re anything like us. It’s the kind of song you want to play as you’re driving into the sunset towards the horizon, with the windows down and your nearest and dearest on either side.

‘Silent Fever’ has that colourful, sunny vibe, underpinned by a bundle of 80s flavouring for good measure, from the growling bass to the energetic drumbeat. Even the vocals are reminiscent of the era, with lead singer Alex’s reverberating voice boldly cutting through the production’s electronic elements.

Their brand of throwback pop is clearly hitting the nail on the head, with fans cropping up all over the place and their UK tour kicking off with a sold-out London show. To top it off, their debut EP Silent Fever lands in a short two weeks on April 15th, and is set to include 7 tracks of indie-pop sealed with the vibrant electronic undercurrents that we’ve seen so far. With mounting momentum come mounting expectations, but we’re confident they’ll deliver.
