Marques’ Almeida – the label practically synonymous with denim – is back with a vengeance for AW15, this time using more varied pieces in the collection. One of the standouts is the brocade jacket that screams fun from the top of its voice while maintaining a polished look with its cropped, tailored cut.
Inspired by a photo of Rosemary Ferguson, shot by Corinne Day for an early nineties edition of The Face, the entire collection is a salute to carefree youth, filled with colour clashes and ripped fabrics that are meant to shock us. And just to remind us of their roots, the jacket is lined with chambray. Well, the champions of denim couldn’t give us something without their favourite material, could they?
The jacket is available to buy from Net-A-Porter here.
